Here it is, the *original* Mummy Eye Echino! The Mummy Eye was originally brought in through a LFS called "Whitie's Pets" by the fish manager at the time (no longer the case) who was/is on RC as "mummra100769". We kept this piece in captivity for over a year prior to releasing it on the site. (Aquired Feb-2007, made available Feb-2008. Although Whitie's Pets had it for several months prior listed as not for sale.). Limited friends received backup frags during this time period. Thus the story of the Mummy Eye was mysterious for it's first year in captivity. This was actually due to a bet, which we won, that we didn't have the ability to refrain from selling frags for an entire year!   The name "Mummy Eye" originated from two things: 1) the remarkable similarity to the cartoon character "Mummra" from Thundercats who was a green Mummy with Orange Eyes 2) a tribute to mummra100769 who originally brought it in. Who knew that an entire style of coral names would originate from this! Now you can own a piece fragged from the original ground-zero mother colony!
